I couldn't ignore how much the effect reminded me of a sea shell- another happy surprise is how pleasant the raw unglazed grooved surface feels in the hand

11" Shallow Wide Rim Serving Plate marbled pottery mug note that the larger 18"Simply painted rim with umber, sky blue and a clementine orange on a high white gloss glaze make for a beautiful serving platter, reminiscent of a bygone era. This shallow dish was wheel thrown from a sparsely speckled stoneware clay, and lined by hand. This is a one of a kind, but a shape and style which I would like to further explore. 11"w x 1. 5" h
