1950’s Vintage Marlborough Shape Grindley Porcelain 6 Cup Tea Pot With Rose Finial – Rare Kingfisher Pattern Clocks & WatchesDesigned and released under the Royal Petal range with Marlborough shape, a porcelain six cup tea pot manufactured by Grindley between 1940 and 1959 when this particular pattern was discontinued. The tea pot has fluted sides and is decorated with colourful Kingfisher birds and floral patterning. The tea pot also stands on a four footed pedestal base and has a beautiful rose design lid finial. This is a rare pattern by Grindley which is seldom

Each item is marked underneath in both English and Afrikaans Manufactured in South Africa Hart 2100

The jug is not marked or stamped

The item is decorated in pattern 8197 which depicts autumn colours of yellow

which also stand on a trumpet shaped pedestal base and matches the saucer and tea plate in beauty with pink tone

The body and domed lid are glazed in harbor grey and olive green trim decorates the rim as well as the lid finial

The sugar bowl also requires a good polishing

All the other items are in very good condition

During the 1960’s a variety of companies began producing reproductions of depression glass and these are generally identified by their lack of tiny air bubbles within the glass

The side plate is stamped underneath Johnson Bros Made in England

A rare pattern designed and released by Royal Vale during 1950 but later discontinued
