We hammered the strings, we added felt to the upright, we put overhead mics on electric keys, we left one piano a little out of tune, and we even sampled the chorus on one of our favorite old keyboard synths. Fender Rhodes, Wurlitzer 200A, Yamaha CP 70 B & CP 30, and more. Real instruments in real spaces with all the functionality of a synthesizer with full effects.
