This album, which featured Hendrix classics performed by a variety of well known artists including Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy, Slash, Jeff Beck, Chris Cornell, The Cure, Pretenders and others, was released on Nov. 9, 1993. It was certified Gold by the RIAA on Jan. 12,1994 for 500,000 copies sold. All of Jimi Hendrix's classic hits were covered on the album, from "Purple Haze" to "Hey Joe"
