Alvar Aalto designed the Savoy vase in 1936, in collaboration with his wife Aino Aalto for the Savoy Restaurant in Helsinki which opened the following year. The vase of part of the couple's total decoration of the place. The vase has been produced by Finnish Iittala since 1937, where the vase was entered into a design competition in 1936. The vase is in perfect condition.
