Pavillon Blanc Vintage:2005 full and sweet broad-scaled yet
$2135.00
Description
full and sweet broad-scaled yet elegant flavors that are solidly structured and firm on the detailed and wonderfully intense finish
this offers good potential for drinking over the next decade – but no further
The 2011 Barolo Ornato is similarly rich and powerful
with the 2011 Flaccianello della Pieve appearing a bit softer and plumper around the midsection
Interestingly this is less overtly spicy as the Amoureuses at present though there is a genuinely gorgeous inner mouth perfume to the suave
Pavillon Blanc Vintage:2005 full and sweet broad-scaled yetThe 2014 Pavillon Blanc de Chteau Margaux is just a bit anonymous on the nose, despite encouragement. The palate is sharp on the entry, very edgy and sharp, verging on sour lemon mixed with lime and peach towards the finish. This is one of the few Bordeaux dry whites that improved with aeration and I ended up giving a higher score. Tasted blind at the annual Southwold tasting. Neal Martin
