The bunches on average were loose and the berries small

then more stone-fruit than citrus

The Barolos are vinified in stainless steel

Bellevue Mondotte other_regions_italy La Marie and Estournelles StRuby red. Roasted plum, toffee, game and nutty oak on the nose. Lush, fat and stuffed with fruit. A wonderfully pliant 2002 with noteworthy density and richness. Sound acids and suave but firm edged tannins give this excellent balance. Finishes very long and ripe. This is even stronger than it appeared to be from barrel last spring. Stephen Tanzer
