Description
Halite Tully MonstersHalite refers to a rock primarily composed of sodium chloride otherwise known as rock salt. The Halite that we typically carry is from Searles Lake, California. Searles lake is 5 times saltier than sea water! Pink Halite gets its color from halobacteria from the lake, and green Halite gets its color from the algae in the lake. Because Halite is water soluble, it must never be exposed to water or high humidity.
