You many also hear this called "mill ends". This yarn is perfectly fine and no different from any other skein, they are just short. Anything under 50 grams I am pairing them together so each set will have TWO short skeins that are matching, most with a mini skein, some with out. Skeins over 50 grams will just be one skein
