Pio Cesare’s 1990 Barolo is one of the protagonists of the Barolo Boom years that would soon follow this legendary vintage

This is really lovely and a classic Vaudésir in its delicacy

earth and meat with hints of eucalyptus and dried herbs

This moderately firm effort is somewhat awkward at present

with restrained tannins and no rough edges

Otherwise there is first rate volume, punch and mid palate density to the muscular flavors that are also quite firmly structured but even so there is less youthful austerity than is typical for Clos de Vougeot. Still, this is definitely going to require at least moderate patience and like the Chambertin, this is excellent as well. (92 95) 2030+
