Gianni Gagliardo, Barolo Preve Vintage:2011 In a telling sign ofGianni Gagliardo's 2010 Barolo Preve has come together quite nicely since I tasted it a few months ago. The tannins have begun to soften, allowing the dark fruit to come through with greater precision and nuance. Cloves, mocha, spices and black cherries wrap around the brooding, potent finish in a virile Barolo to drink over the next decade or so. Antonio Galloni
