It was handwoven from bamboo using a traditional Japanese technique known as takeami. The style showcases an okimono kago design, which can be seen on the bottom where the 5 bamboo pieces meet, forming a star shape. This specific basket unfortunately, due to its age, has lost some of the bamboo, meaning the star formation cannot be seen. This, however, does not take away from the
