Antique Indo-Persian Kalamkari Wall Hanging french ticking the two layers are hand-stitchedThis finely detailed block print kalamkari was made for the Persian market in India. Soft tones of madder and indigo have been used and the panel is printed onto a fine cotton that has a central join. Delicate tassels finish each end of this piece. Possibly made to be used as a tablecloth, it would look wonderful as a wall hanging, perhaps behind a bed. In good condition for its age, there are some rust marks on one area, a small repair and some holes
